Alfaro, who hadn't hit a home run since Opening Day, turned on a fastball from Dust Devils reliever Rafael Suarez (0-1) and deposited it over the left field wall, scoring Trever Adams and breaking up a 4-4 tie. Indians starter Santo Perez (3-0) picked up the win after pitching five effective innings, and lefty Chris Hanna locked up his first save of the season, pitching four innings of one-hit baseball.
It was another great night for the Spokane offense, as all but one of the Indians starters had a base hit. Guillermo Pimentel and Braxton Lane each had two hits, and Zach Cone, Drew Robinson, and Alfaro tallied RBI's in the win.
The comeback victory pulled Spokane into a tie with Tri-City and Boise for first place in the Northwest League Eastern Division, with the Indians and Dust Devils set to play two more at Avista Stadium this week.
The game was followed by a phenomenal fireworks display courtesy of Xfinity.
